Humble thyself

Every single one of us has our own records of achievements to be proud of. We are so thrilled with the success we’ve tasted, thus we tend to boast. Showing off does not do any good, don’t you think? I’m not saying that we shouldn’t be happy with it. Go, celebrate, party all you want, savor the triumph, but however, we should not brag about it and let it get to our heads. Swaggering about your wealth, high grades, etcetera, is it our source of fulfillment? You might think that people marvel at you, but you might know that the effect could be of reverse. Be proud of yourself, but don’t do it extremely to the extent that you might be hurting others through boasting. The limelight is not all yours – share it. Know that sometimes, doing your best is more important than being the best.

We all long for success – success in our studies, work, and career and even in love! Who wants to fail? Attaining success is, let’s say, the primary aim of human beings. We give our all in whatever we do, always make an effort to quench our thirst for victory, but then as we achieve it, there is this tendency to ask for more. As you aspire to go higher, greediness will pull you down. Everyone knows that climbing the ladder of success is tough. Of course committing mistakes is natural; we are but perfect at all. But learning from these mistakes is essential for the road of success.

Bottom line is: be contented of what you have. Be satisfied with what you have. Don’t ask for too much. Take time to show your appreciation to the people who have offered help along the way. Stay humble by all means, one way to stay humble is to surround yourself with people who, as well neither do nor sing their own praises. Above all, remember to than almighty for what success and triumph you have enjoyed. It is His reward for your diligence and struggle through life.
