UPROOTING THE CULTURE OF PASSIVITY
Today’s roller-coaster ride of current events brings us to the fold of activity and dormancy, a form of retrospection that will lead us to social dynamism. All the time record-high of unprecedented occurrences unfold each day, and worst yet these pressing concerns are welcomed only by shivers of indolence and shrugs of disregard. We, Filipinos, continually seek for reforms. But, in stark reality, reforms are utterly used for dismissive stunts and unfounded beliefs for change thus, the downsizing and victimization of the misrepresented come into play.

To ignore what is evident is to allow the cycle of viciousness and deception to continue to happen.
The country, although shaken with tsunami of problems, needs a direction through its sovereign people that will spur a positive collectivism of social involvement not cause-driven movements, the resource of which comes from peaceful, diminutive and yet valuable ways.
As sons and daughters of Juan de la Cruz, we should say, make use of what the unconscionable teaches us to do. The culture that, maims us, Filipinos, today remain an inescapable force to wrestle with, an enemy that prevents civil growth and curtails nation building. It is, therefore, imperative to remain not unmoved, or greater than that, unaffected. Eradicating the norm that keeps us from moving forward amounts to one significant thing: after all the call for help should be our primary and immediate concern.
